Admission to the Festival of Quilts is included in regular Heritage Park admission on our two special days - May 27 and 28, 2023. Tickets may be purchased online here. Please note payment is also required for parking, available at kiosks near the park entrance. More information about parking may be found here.
If you have a Heritage Park membership, you are eligible to enter and park for free. See membership information here.
If you enter a quilt in the show, you will receive a half price admission coupon for one of the show days - it will be given to you when you drop off your quilt. One coupon per quilter - we're paying you to enter your quilts, so get those quilts ready for next year to take advantage of this deal!

The heart of the show is the magnificent display of quilts loaned to us by quilters like you. Yes, you! This is not a competitive show, it is a celebration of the creativity of our local quilt community. We love every kind of quilt!
Quilt registration for the 2023 Festival of Quilts is now open - please visit the Heritage Park website here for forms!
Quilt Drop Off for registered quilts is on Tuesday, May 23th, 2023 from 10am to 7pm at the Railway Orientation Centre (just behind the Railway Café on the south side of the plaza). Wagons and assistance are available if you have a bunch, just pop in and ask for help. Can't wait to see all those beautiful quilts!

Quilt Pick Up is on Monday, May 29th, 2023 from 10am to 7pm at the Railway Orientation Centre. Thank you for loaning us your beautiful quilts for the show!

Volunteering
Volunteering
Our Festival depends upon the dedication of more than 100 volunteers donating thousands of hours of their talents and labour. Our volunteers tackle everything from registration, to display set up, to quilt monitoring, to giving them all back at the end, and then starting to plan the next year.
There are three ways you can help! No experience is necessary, we will assist and train you.
If you are interested in joining the Show Day Team, we'd love to have you. We have a minimum of a half day commitment, and that leaves you time to visit the show when you are done. Or you could pick one day to volunteer, and one day to visit. Your jobs might include helping with set up in the morning, talking about quilts and keeping an eye on them during the show (monitoring), and taking down the show in the afternoon, please fill out the form here, and we will contact you to schedule training and shifts. We can accommodate all physical abilities, you won't be required to climb ladders or other heroic feats (but we would be delighted if you can, and you are available to help)!
If you are interested in joining the Heritage Park Volunteers, please visit the page here for more information. We love Heritage Park, and there are lots of opportunities for volunteers all year round. Heritage Park volunteers help the Festival of Quilts in many roles, including show day activities, but also setting up displays earlier in the week, standing by as the weather response team (moving quilts in case of inclement weather, or just taming the wind at the Wainwright), manning the lunch room for other hungry volunteers, and much more. It's a great bunch of people, having fun and keeping history alive in many ways!
The Festival of Quilts Committee is a team of approximately 10 to 15 dedicated volunteers who share the intense experience of bringing the show to life every year. Committee members can be identified at the show by their big smiles, slightly frazzled look, and royal blue aprons with the show logo. Give us a wave or a hug, and let us know how much fun you are having at the Festival!
